Bristol-based provider of subscriber-centric network software, Apertio, has acquired telecoms software vendor, Netzwert AG, of Germany,

Netzwert is a market leader in providing innovative software products, integration and consulting services.

The company’s flagship products, including AAA (Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting) and BSF (Bootstrapping Server Function), provide real-time management and access control functions, which enable communication service providers to deliver advanced services to customers.

The acquisition will significantly extend Apertio’s portfolio, with Netzwert’s products to be distributed through Apertio’s well-established global sales, deployment and support channels.

Netzwert’s products will be further integrated with Apertio One architecture and re-branded Apertio One-AAA and One-BSF.

The products will complement Apertio’s portfolio, which includes the Apertio One-HLR (Home Location Register), One-HSS (Home Subscriber Server) and One-NDS (Network Directory Server).

Apertio One’s architecture eliminates complexity and cost. It can simplify a network and help increase revenue through rapid service deployment. It also facilitates convergence and service innovation.

Apertio’s customers include leading telecoms operators Orange, T-Mobile, 02, Vodafone, Bharti and AIS.
