Carphone Warehouse is confident of its supply of Apple’s iPhone which launches in the UK on November 9th.
Carphone Warehouse has negotiated a period in which it will be the exclusive third party retailer of the handset, and is “ very confident” that supplies will meet the demand.
The company admitted that whilst it makes money selling the handsets it “possibly not as much as we would like” but added that it expected to make additional profit from sales of accessories and footfall sales.
In the US the hype had reached such a level that there were lengthy queues outside Apple stores, as well as an extensive secondary market as people sold phones on immediately.
