DG Web Shop scores two million hits in first week

The online music store of Deutsche Grammophon, the German record label, clocked up two million page impressions during the site's first week of operations.
In the site's first week in December 2007, 85,000 unique visitors came to DG Web Shop, resulting in 50,000+ music downloads.
DG, a division of Universal Music Group, specialises in classical music. The company has made the majority of its catalogue available for download online at its online store, www.dgwebshop.com.
The majority of visitors to the site came from the US, followed by Germany, the UK, France and Switzerland.
