The BT Wholesale managed services division appears primed for an additional boost after the pronouncement of a three year deal with Scottish & Southern Energy (SSE).

The deal is for BT Wholesale to supply integrated voice and broadband services that SSE can resell to its 8.5 million UK customers.

The article on CommsDealer reveals that SSE already utilises BT Wholesale to supply telephone services to 150,000 customers.

Itret Latif, Telecoms Business manager at SSE stated “Scottish & Southern Energy wanted a partner that could support us with the best suite of integrated communications services quickly, nationally and with minimal capital and operational risk to our business. We’re enhancing our offer in today’s fiercely competitive market, by building on our relationship with BT. This will help us become a trusted converged”

Similarly Vodafone and the Post Office already make use of the BT Wholesale white label services.
