Mobinnova is expected to start shipping its Ultimate 8502 and the Ultimate 9502 mobile phone handsets to Taiwan based handset vendor i-mate.
The Taiwan-based company’s two new phones have 3.5G capabilities, and are built based on Qualcomm’s MSM 7200 platform and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6. Both handsets also support HSDPA/HSUPA technology.
These specifications have meant that i-mate have landed orders from Australian telecoms operator Telstra, who plan to start marketing the handsets on their next generation telecoms network in March.
