Taiwan-based manufacturer High Tech Computer (HTC) will soon start shipping the HTC TyTN II 3.5G phone to Emobile, a Japan-based mobile telecom operator. Emobile will sell the device as the S11HT.

The S11HT utilises and Windows Mobile operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7200 400 GHz processor. Emobile will be using the phone, together with the H11T, a 3.5G phone from Toshiba, to promote its voice roaming service that it has set up alongside NTT DoCoMo.

HTC now makes phones for three major Japan-based mobile telecom operators. In addition to Emobile, HTC has business ties with NTT DoCoMo and Softbank Mobile.

In April this year NTT DoCoMo will be launching its second HTC produced handset, and Softbank Mobile will be launching its third HTC handset
