Silitech Technology, Taiwan-based manufacturer of handset keypads, has reported its results for 2007. After tax profits were up 23% compared to 2006, reaching a record NT$1.29 billion (US$43 million). This is equivalent to NT$8.56 per share.
Gross margin for the year also increased, from 26.7% in 2006 to 27.0%. This was achieved in spite of higher-priced raw materials and increasing levels of competition in the component market.
