TDC, a Danish telco is introducing an unlimited music download service, developed exclusively, as added-value for its customers. TDC Play, previously known as UMAP (Unlimited Music On All Platforms), is a web and wap download service.
The service is accessible to all mobile, online and cable subscribers as part of their ordinary subscription and no additional fees will be payable.
It is not client-based and is compatible with any PC internet browser and all music enabled handsets.
One million tracks will be available, ranging from new releases to back catalogue, from a variety of majors and indies. All tracks are DRM protected in OMA1 for mobile and in Windows Media for PC.
TDC will cover all costs to the recording industry and there will be no increase in customers’ tariffs.
