HGI to discuss energy saving solutions

The Home Gateway Initiative will use its 13th quarterly meeting, in Florence, Italy, to discuss specifications to outline energy saving solutions for the home gateway, based on the EU Code of Conduct on Energy Consumption of Broadband Equipment.
Issues high on the agenda include requirement for energy efficiency, establishing service models and predicting energy consumption.
