July 2, 2008
AIRCOM International, a network planning consultancy, is supplying mobile services provider O2 with its ASSET radio network planning and optimisation tool.
ASSET, which is part of AIRCOM’s ENTERPRISE tool suite, was selected by O2 as a solution that is scalable and flexible enough to support its future network growth and optimisation.
AIRCOM will be able to build additional functionality into the tool as O2’s requirements change and develop.
ASSET works across WiMAX, HSDPA, 2, 2.5 and 3G networks.
It features both static and dynamic simulators, and can analyse extremely complex network deployment and capacity scenarios.
AIRCOM secured the deal with O2 following a bid process and strategic cost analysis.
