JDSU, a California-based provider of communications test and measurement solutions, is providing The Carphone Warehouse Networks (CPWN) with NetComplete, its service assurance system.
NetComplete, will support the design, implementation and management of CPWN’s Next Generation Network for residential and business customers, via local loop unbundling.
CPWN selected NetComplete as the best available option for increasing operational efficiency.
The system is expected to help ensure excellent network performance and high-quality service.
CPWN will use the JDSU NetComplete QT-200 xDSL/triple-play probe and on-board applications together with NetAnalyst software.
The Carphone Warehouse Group is the third largest broadband supplier in the UK, with over 4 million customer lines across its TalkTalk, AOL Broadband and Opal brands.
JDSU’s solution will be deployed at over 1,600 exchanges for TalkTalk, CPW’s consumer telephone business.
The system is expected to improve fault management across the UK, via CPWN’s centre in Irlam, Manchester.
It should help to improve diagnostics accuracy, reduce time-to-repair and help identify whether problems lie with CPW or BT.
